Heidel House Resort & Spa Appoints New Director of Food & Beverage


GREEN LAKE, Wis. – August 27, 2013 – Heidel House Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Gereson Yongo to the position of food and beverage director. Yongo, a food and beverage professional with a prestigious hospitality background spanning three continents, will oversee and direct all aspects of Heidel House Resort’s food and beverage operations.

In this position, Yongo will ensure the highest quality products and service levels for guests at the resort’s three restaurants – the Sunroom, BoatHouse Pub and award-winning Grey Rock – as well as banquet facilities, the Pump House ice cream parlor, Escapade yacht, pool bar and all additional areas that offer food and beverage items. He will lead the food and beverage team and work in conjunction with the executive team to continually increase guest satisfaction and help business grow.

Yongo’s international experience spans across Africa, the Middle East, Caribbean and United States. He was most recently the assistant food and beverage director at the Seaport Boston Hotel. He also held food and beverage management positions at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, N.C. and Sea Island Company in Sea Island, Ga.

Yongo earned a hospitality degree from Kenya Utalli College in Nairobi, Kenya and a certificate in revenue management from Cornell University. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ashworth University.
