March 2005 Heidel House News
Greetings,
Yes, you read the subject line correctly: Mind, body, soul and Heidel House Resort. We aren't a big stuffy corporation, but a down-to-earth family of people here to serve you. We promote family togetherness and small-town discovery, not gigantic parks and pocket-gouging prices.

This month's letter is a reminder of what the Heidel House Resort family and Green Lake area are all about.

Happy travels,
Loni

Mind...

As the oldest resort town west of Niagra Falls, Green Lake and the surrounding areas are steeped in history. Whether you take the beaten path and discover our historical tour around our property, or borrow a map and cruise around the lake to see points of interest, you are sure to discover what makes Green Lake so special.

Stop by the front desk for a brief history on the original Heidel family and how they came to establish the place we know today. You can also head downtown to the Dartford Historical Society for a very informative visit about the town of Dartford, now called Green Lake. However you choose to dig up the roots of this town, you'll leave feeling enriched and enlightened.

Body...

Whether you're into running, hiking, biking, or swimming, Green Lake offers the best for all. Take running, for instance. With Green Lake's wide streets and courteous drivers you can safely take your jog without being distracted from the sites.

Green Lake is often host to different organization events, such as Girls on the Run 5K Family Fun Run and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Annual Friendship Bicycle Tour. If you know of a group that would like to take advantage of Green Lake's beautiful and healthy atmosphere, contact the Green Lake Chamber of Commerce at 800-253-7354.

Soul...

Is your idea of soul searching catching a morning session of yoga, medition and herbal remedies? Or how about long walks, good books and deep conversation? Yes it is true, you can do any of these in any place, but a vacation from your responsibilities will rejuvenate your spirit, strengthen your body, and calm your mind.

What better atmosphere to complement your soul searching than Green Lake and its natural resources: The beautiful sights, the calm environment and best of all, the friendly people. Take the weekend and visit Green Lake's very own yoga studio, Room to Breathe. Or get in touch with nature and discover the wildlife on our wooded trails.
